Upgrade memory

Hi All

I'm new here so thank you for letting me join. I'm currently looking to upgrade my memory from 8gb to 16gb as I have been told that is the max amount of memory I can have is this correct as this seems a bit small to me? the other question I have is will 16gb DDR3 Vulcan Ram fit into my system, not sure if it is 1600 MHz or 1866 MHz, I was told that the motherboard does not support 1866 MHz but it would drop it down to 1600 MHz?

Thank you for any assistance that you might be able to offer.

You've left out the system information, so no one can reply definitively.

For compatibility of a specific type of RAM, use a memory configurator (Crucial, Kingston and others allow you to select certified to work memory), or ask the seller/manufacturer of the RAM you plan to purchase.

Best bet is get the speed (MHz) that goes with your system.  I've seen instances in this forum whereas instead of down clocking, the MB rejects it and throws an error code.

I attached the 7010 spec sheet and Tech Guide.

And yes, if you get the 1600 MHz RAM you're looking at, it should work.  Can't say definitely without a RAM model #.
