Power and Cooling Reports on HPE/Dell Servers while Application Load Testing?

I was just approached with a project involving server validation testing with reporting on power consumption and BTU/cooling. This is not my area of expertise. Open Source (read: free) is preferable. What tools should I look at using for this process? It seems like I need a two fork solution, one for load testing applications and another for hardware monitoring and reporting.Application Load Testing: The client currently uses Loadrunner for application load generation. I'm guessing that I can simulate usage via a number of different tools once I get more information on the requirements. Most likely something like JMeter or Locust.Performance Monitoring: My thought is that I can use a simple performance monitoring tool to track hardware sensors via SNMP and then generate reports. I've never reported on cooling requirements, but my guess is that I would just convert Watts to BTU to determine the cooling required.

Good morning,

There isn't a specific software I could recommend for cooling reporting, unfortunately. We do have the Enterprise Infrastructure Planning Tool (EIPT), which may be worth checking out, but doesn't encompass all our models.

"The Dell Enterprise Infrastructure Planning Tool (EIPT) helps IT professionals plan and tune their computer and infrastructure equipment for maximum efficiency. Offering a wide range of configuration flexibility and environmental inputs, this can help right size your IT environment."

The iDRAC also tracks cooling information, but I'm not sure that it will have everything you're looking for to create your reports. The community may have some additional suggestions, though.
