Issue backup and restore vtpm on vCenter 8 with PPDM , but ok with networker
Hello,
We are trying to restore a virtual machine with vTPM enabled and configured on a vCenter and Esxi environment, version 8 and up to date.
The VM backup works, but some elements are not correct :
- In the advanced settings, there is an “encryption.bundle” attribute that is completely different on the restore VM.
- When I start the VM and open the Virtual TPM settings, instead of seeing the name of my vcenter cert, I see “random” values like these:
SHA256WITHRSA-RSA: 2.23.133.2.3=#0c0b69643a3030303230303655,2.43.131.2.2=#0c0x564d776132652254504d32,2.2
instead of:
SHA256WITHRSA-RSA = myvcenter.mydomain.com
This results in corruption of the VM and an inability to boot correctly (I keep ending up in the BIOS).
Do you have any advices ?
And just for information it's working well with networker both of the issue is ok and not happening.
Thanks
