730xd BP0 Power Cable Missing / Disconnected
Hi,
I have a 730xd with support for 12 3.5" drives in the front bay. I also have 2 2.5" SSD in the rear (just over powersupplys)
When i boot i get a message that a boot driver detected BP0 power cable was loose or missing. I cant find any documentation as to which backplane is BP0, with is BP1...
All the docs reference front backplane, rear backplane, or mid plane.
Its completely frustrating that Dell uses multiple names for the same thing. Pick one and stick with it.
Even the large instruction page on the top cover is useless
I have read the owners and technical guide several times and searched google & youtube, but there are no articles or images that even seem slightly relevant
And whats wierd/interesting is that ALL my drives are working in the front and rear.
Could anyone provide the part # for this mysterious cable or tell me if its front, mid, or back, or better yet an image
There is a section in the owners guide showing the various supported drive configuration options but the diagram is so high level and so vague, its but an overview at best

Hi, thanks for choosing Dell. Would you refer to page 117? I wonder if that’s the case

You might need to have the cable 5 and 6 (in the attached) checked.

Can you check whether the system having latest iDRAC, BIOS and PERC FW. If not can you update to latest and see whether the error persist.
You can refer "Figure 6. Cabling diagram—3.5 inch (x12) SAS/SATA backplane (option 1)" on below link for connectivity required for this specific configuration. Can you also reseat all cables on backplane and motherboard and check the behavior
