Adding hardware raid to a T330

I have a customer with a T330,hot swappable backplane with embedded sata, no HW RAID (just S130). I want to add an H330 or H730 and convert it. I know I will need a cable to connect from the RAID card. My question is, can you use the same backplane and plug the backplane directly into the RAID card or is it a different backplane that ships when dealing with a hardware raid?
