I am not aware of this type of validation. If there is a specific system or update method that states this check then please reference it and I can look into it.
We have interoperability guides/matrixes for some of our OpenManage products. I'm not aware of a hardware matrix for our servers. You can check the support page of the system you are using. If this type of document exists it would be on that page. Also, any required updates or requirements of a firmware or BIOS update should be mentioned in the release notes or important notes of the update.
