Dell PowerEdge R730 and R220 reboot loop
Hello,
I have the dell power edge R730 and R220 , when I start boot the servers , they start up normally , but before operating system loads , I press ALT+Ctl+Del to reboot them , then both of them goes to infinite reboot loop , even when I power off each of them !! , when come to the office in the next day and startup the servers from power , they are starting normally , then when repeat Alt+Ctl+Del to restart them the servers go to infinite reboot loop !!
for R730 : the server reboots on loading bois info , while R220 reboots on "configuring memory done" stage
may I know the reason and how to resolve this issue ? , both servers are new "first use"
also I've updated the bios for R220 , but got the same reboot behavior .
any advise ?

Hi,
What OS are they running? Why are you rebooting with ctrl+alt+del? Are they connected to the same power source? If you power them off completely does it still happen?

Are there any errors on the system LCD panels? We can try to eliminate hardware by trying the systems with no external devices, pcie cards and a single memory stick.

Hello,
yes , i've removed all external devises , the problem was on the KVM attached to the servers , makes them did the same behavior when pressing Alt-Ctr-del , as the servers restart considering those keys are still pressed .
when connecting the servers with normal keyboard and mouse , everything working fine .
