Dell R340 - 128GB Memory

Question

Will the Dell PowerEdge R340 support 128GB of RAM? I read an old release saying there might be a BIOS update in future allowing for 128GB capacity. Has this happened? Or is 64GB still the max?

64 GB (16GB DIMM X 4) is the maximum memory supported on R340. You can refer below link for details

Shine's correct. As you can see from the link he's given, it does not support 128GB.

The system capacity of a R340 is 256GB of memory in total based on the largest supportet 64GB DIMM right now. If needed i can take a look into the OSC if its possible to configure a system with 4x128GB... but based on the latest? system spec pdf is not possible.
