Dell R710 Configuration
I have install following RAMs
| A1 = 8gb | B1 = 8gb | |
| A2 = 8gb | B2 = 8gb | |
| A3 = | B3 = | |
| A4 = 4gb | B4 = 4gb | |
| A5 = 4gb | B5 = 4gb | |
| A6 = 4gb | B6 = 4gb | |
| A7 = 4gb | B7 = 4gb | |
| A8 = | B8 = | |
| A9 = | B9 = | |
| 32 gb | 32 gb |
This should be 64 GB but system is showing 56 GB and disabled A6 and B6.
Any body can guide me, how can I configure or add RAMs in server.

I was about to post a similar question. I've inherited a few R710s that need more RAM. It sounds like I have to put 6 DIMMs in each R710... is that correct?

I haven't cracked them open to look... they're all running ESXi and are hosting VMs. They have 12GB each (yes, pathetic). There's an odd pile of RAM sitting on the rack they're in, and I don't know if that stuff will work, or if it was already tried, or ??? I'm not opposed to asking for more to be bought!
