DELL R710 no POST after BIOS update

Hi All,

need some help here. I updated the BIOS of my Dell R710 server from 6.3 to 6.4 and it indicated that it was successful and asked for a reboot which I did. after the reboot there is no POST or any display on the monitor.  I can get into the server via IDARC and it shows no signal as well. I have tried to clear up NVRAM with no luck. any help is appriciated

Hello Ash

If the system fails POST then there are not a lot of options. You should drain flea power, clear NVRAM, and take the system to minimum to POST. If the issue persists then the system board may need to be replaced.

What steps did you perform to clear NVRAM?

Thanks

Hi mate, thanks for taking time to reply to this.  I cleared NVRAM using jumper settings and still no luck. I tried to run with only one CPU , removed RAM and RAID and still no luck.

It was a successful BIOS update and not sure what caused the issue.
