I'm getting error PST0208 "System BIOS has halted" on a Dell R930. The screen stops on Loading BIOS Drivers.

Hello

If the BIOS is failing to load you can clear NVRAM via jumper. If the BIOS loads after an NVRAM clear then I suggest making sure the BIOS is up to date. If the BIOS still fails to load then you should take the system to minimum-to-POST. If the issue persists after performing all of those steps then parts replacement is likely needed, the system board would be the most likely part. You can find information about the NVRAM jumper in the manual.

I have the same issue with my R630 connected to a PERC H800. I was attempting to run the firmware update on the H800. The process finished, but failed. The instructions were to reboot.

All other firmware (except power supplies) is being reported (updated all a few days ago) as current.  Now the fun begins.

System will boot but hangs at loading firmware
removing connection to PowerEdge unit and there is a BIOS error (pst0208).  System halts
remove H800 and it boots normally.

I've turned off hardware inventory, I've removed the power cable. I believe I could do the firmware update from iDRAC IF I could get that far with the controller.  I am able to boot into BIOS, but I'm clueless as to whether or not it can be updated there.

Any thoughts?
