Dell T410 CPU Upgrade
According to the documentation...... The Dell T410 Supports......
Model Speed Power Cache Cores QPI Speed
X5660 2.80GHz 95W 12M 6 6.4GT/s
A few xeons were created after this time......... are any of these supported after the X5660
I am also curious about the X5690......

I am not showing anything supported above the 5660 at this time.

I just successfully installed a used pair of these in my T410:
Intel® Xeon® Processor X5670 2.93 GHz • • 12 MB 6 95 W 6.4 GT/s 1333, 1066, 800
At first I was getting some E1410 errors but I ended up getting a single CPU working, then swapped the two CPUs and it started working. I'm not sure what the secret sauce was but it's humming along nicely now.
At first I thought it was a power issue as my previous CPUs were 2.4g E5620. I read somewhere that the T410 can't support the 130w x5677 or x5680 but I'd recommend everyone, or course, do their own research.
