E5-2660 procesor into poweredge R720 server
Hello
We have poweredge R720 server. We decided change processor and set E5-2660 processor but system gets error: "unsupported stepping CPU". Then we've updated bios but it gets same error.
Any help will be appreciated

Mixo,
Are the processors E5-2660 v2 processors? If so, they will not work. These are 10 core processors, the board will only handle 8 core; E5-2660's will work.

Thank you for response. Really there is The caption: INTEL CONFIDENTIAL and QB7B ES 2.20GHZ. After google search I've found it is E5-2660.
