GPU enablement kit for R740xd
Hello, I'm having trouble tracking down where I can buy these things. I have a number of R740xd servers and am looking to put server gpus in them (e.g. Tesla P4 or P100 models). I see comments here and there that gpu enablement kits are needed for proper cooling. I am interested in gpu enablement kits for them since it seems that they are required/recommended for installing gpus. Does Dell even sell these anymore? I think the part number I need is 490-BEIX

Hi,
490-BEIX is the only package available for the GPU enablement kit. Other kits are only available for the server configured to ship.
Based on the slot priority guide: https://dell.to/3RTTUmi and 490-BEIX components, it is a 1A+2A+3A configuration. Hence, you can only install P100. You can also refer to the guide for other GPU models.

Sorry, but where can I buy the 490-BEIX? I can't access the link you posted. I've tried searching many places including dell's website but only find sketchy used things on ebay.
I don't know what you mean by 1A+2A+3A configuration, but I saw here as well that the P4 is explicitly supported for R740.
