H355 Front PERC Card Cable
Hi,
I've installed a H355 front PERC card in a R350 server to do a RAID 1, and noticed that the server isn't recognizing the PERC card. After having a look at the iDrac logs it says that there isn't a Backplane 1 cable connected.
Could someone tell me what the part number of the cable(s) that I require to connect the H355 front PERC card to the motherboard, as I can't seem to find anything online?

Can you confirm what backplane you have on the serve? Is it 4 X 3.5 backplane or 8 X 2.5 backplane. Only 4X3.5 backplane support front PERC. You can refer below link for various supported configuration and cabling required for same

For 4X3.5 backplane you need to have below cable to connect front PERC
HJ8MT - ASSY,CBL,MB,FPERC,R350

Hi, Shine's absolutely spot on. Go visit the link and tell us what you are using in order to figure out what part number we should give you. Because we don't know whether you have added something to the original configuration and etc.

Hi Young & Shine,
Going with your link, it's figure 3 so it will be the 4x3.5 backplane.
The only added thing that I've done to the server from original is, added the H355 front PERC card.

Hi,
Would you know of any stockiest in the UK that might supply the HJ8MT - ASSY,CBL,MB,FPERC,R350 cable?
I've tried phoning a good number of places, and none stock that cable at all.

Then as Shines mentioned for 4X3.5 backplane you need to have below cable to connect front PERC
HJ8MT - ASSY,CBL,MB,FPERC,R350

Sorry but I don't know any third party sellers. You can try Dell commercial department for parts but I cannot be sure how it will result for UK, as in each country can be different. Also you can try with Dell Parners. But still, I cannot say which one may have the part.
For most customers, the best way is just to look for the part on the Internet.
Sorry for not being able to offer you a better solution about this.
