HDD-1 showing offline mode after Insert
Hi,
I have remove HDD-1 from raid -1 for some O.S update activity After that i was inserted HDD-1 again. But now HDD -1 showing Offline mode and my RAid-1 also showing Degraded mode in OMSA.
So Pls suggest me can I put HDD online by Raid controller Bios and it's is safe for my Data Backup.
Kindly Replay ASAP.

What server? What controller?
In OMSA, go to the Physical Disks page ... what is the status of disk 1? If "failed", select Rebuild from its dropdown menu. If "Ready", select Assign Global Hot Spare. If "Foreign", clear the foreign configuration (Storage, PERC, Information Configuration, Foreign/Clear from dropdown menu for the controller), then assign as hot spare.
This is not the proper method for running update. RAID is NOT a backup and should never be treated as such.

Hi,
This is LS controller in PE-R720 server. In OMSA HDD status is Offline and in LS controller showing Drive -1 not synced. How to online this HDD in Raid-1.
