iDrac 6 - Temperature Threshold Setting
Dear experts:
Our iDrac 6 temperature warning threshold is set from 8°C to 42°C (PowerEdge R710). Is there a way to change these settings?
I would like to lower the upper threshold setting.
Thank you very much!

Mrclinker27,
You would have to use the IPMI tool and IPMI commands in order to change the threshold value for the temperature sensor.
You can learn more on the IPMI Tool and it's uses here - http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/power/ps4q04-20040204-murphy.pdf
Here is the command to run to change the threshold
ipmitool sensor thresh “Temp” ucr 100
The thresholds are unr,, ucr, unc, lnc, lcr, and lnr. (Upper and Lower Critical and Non critical )
Let me know if this helps.

It looks like this IPMI Tool is for Dell Servers with Linux, I have Windows Server 2008R2 instead.
Is there any other tool for this operating system?
Thank you very much.
