iDRAC SYSLOG Hostname Not Included

Hello,

We have successfully set up syslog on three iDRAC devices. One iDRAC 7 and two iDRAC 8. Messages are received on the syslog server, but the messages do not include the hostname. Each device has the hostname set under iDRAC Settings -> Networking -> Common Settings -> DNS iDRAC Name. Rebooted each device after setting this.

Also, we have three iDRAC 9 devices that work as expected. Hostname is present in syslog messages.

Example syslog message from affected device -> <174>Severity: Informational, Category: Audit, MessageID: USR0030, Message: Successfully logged in using Administrator, from 10.0.X.X and WS-MAN.

Example syslog message from iDRAC 9 device -> <174>Sep 17 05:04:48 iDRAC-JBA-HXX Severity: Informational, Category: Audit, MessageID: USR0031, Message: Unable to log in for root from 10.0.X.X using SSH.

Any idea why the iDRAC 7 and 8 devices would not include the hostname?

Must be related to the older iDRAC version. Compared to a new iDRAC9 the syslog msg looks different. But my syslog server tracks also the sender name as Hostname for older iDRACs.

The esx-node-95 is a old one and the esx-node-02 and 06 are newer ones.
