iDRAC Web Interface Stopped Working
The front LED was flashing yellow. The server was operating normally.
Looking at he iDRAC web page it shows a critical error - Watchdog has expired. iDRAC web page stopped working. I was able to use the racadm command to reset the iDRAC. The yellow light stopped flashing. A few minutes later it started flashing again and the web interface was not working. The cli shows the following status:
Watchdog Information:
Recovery Action = None
Present countdown value = 0 seconds
Initial countdown value = 480 seconds
So the watchdog is counting down to zero and the iDRAC web interface is not working. Any suggestions?

I tried to update (Ubuntu 20.04 Server) I get the following:

It says it updated, but when I try to update again it still shows the old version as installed. I am installing as root.

hi looks like you are using Ubuntu and iDRAC Service Module -> this doesn’t support Ubutu,I'm afraid.

I'm confused. When I try to install this package it says "Installed version: 3.6.0" which to me means that this package is installed on the server. I am just trying to update it.
Also when I search for drivers for "Ubuntu Server 20.04 LTS" on the Dell Support site, this package comes up.

Most firmware updates will require a reboot to complete.

Crewe,
You're correct that the "Installed version" is the version the firmware on the server is currently at. Now when you did the update, did you do it remote or local to the server? If remote then reboot, as well as restart OpenManage, if used.

I was local. I used ssh login to install.
Do I have to reboot to get the package to update?

Rebooted server but it still did not update. Still shows old version installed. Note: The install shows errors.

Dell-Young E,
Your are a genius!
The problem was the IP address. Somehow another unit on my network took the IP address that I was using for iDRAC. I reset the iDRAC to factory settings. Then set NIC selection to LOM1 and then set a new IP address and all is good. It is not picking up the Host information which I believe is because the OS tool needs an update. I get errors when I try to update. I will open a new forum issue for that.
Thanks so much!
