ioDrive2 Duo - auxiliary power cable replacements?

Question

I have 2x Sandisk/Fusion ioDrive II Duo cards, 2.4tb model, DP/N 07F6JV, that were pulled from Dell systems.

I am trying to redeploy in other systems that are limited to supplying 25W to the cards through available slots -- the documentation that came with the cards indicates that they may require an auxiliary power cable for full performance when insufficient power is available through PCIE (as is the case here).

These cables for my cards are nowhere to be found. Is it possible to purchase or otherwise acquire replacement aux power cables for these cards from anywhere? Thank you.

Any ideas? I tried contacting Sandisk directly, but they are pointing me to Dell since I am dealing with OEM parts. I seem to have found references online to an IBM equivalent part, but I am having trouble locating that in stock anywhere. To extent I can source replacements directly from Dell, that would be the preferred route.

Come on, Dell - how do we get these cables? I've got the same problem and considering how much these devices cost when they were originally purchased I'd think you'd be hopping over chairs and desks to freakin' answer one of us.

I'm in the same boat, unfortunately. I have 3 of these DUO's with Dell P/N's on the back. I called their parts ordering department and spoke to Dylan Dahse. He emails me back the next day after consulting with his "internal tech team" to tell me this:

"I got with my internal tech team and they said there shouldn’t be an extra power cord for it since it’s in the PCIe. They said you’d have to contact the manufacturer to see if they have a suggestion."

Are you kidding me??? So I replied to his email explaining that it does, in fact, have an aux power connection. I also attached Dell's own PDF document (Dell ioMemory Hardware installation Guide) showing an actual diagram of the aux power cable plugging into the card.

Crickets.. No reply from Dylan. I sent another email and now they're just completely ignoring me. Great customer service!

I know Dell partnered with SanDisk to manufacture these cards like HP did, but when it has a DELL P/N on the back and they don't even know that this thing requires aux power... really makes me think twice about ordering any other parts from Dell. I might have to sell my DUO's and buy the Intel SSD's instead.

The issue is that with Dell the cable is sold with the drive, the cable is not able to be ordered independently. What I would suggest is looking at 3rd party providers, or the manufacturer, which I believe the cables part number is MA001878‑084.
