M1000E + M630 blades ... EIPT

I can't speak to any third party utilities, I just haven't used any. As for Dell made tools, the EIPT is the only one I could point you to, unfortunately. If there's anything else I can look into for you, I'm happy to do so. hcommunity may be aware of a good alterative, though.

There is only the one page for the EIPT, not multiple. The link to download the tool for EOL products appears dead on my end, but you might try it to confirm. If it doesn't work, I'm submitting a feedback report to them.

The point is: how to find the earlier versions of EIPT with M630 stuff inside? Please share your thoughts.

The EIPT EOL link works - I have installed it, however, M630 is not there. Although e.g. R630 is in.

The only versions of that tool available are the ones listed on that page. That team owns and supports that tool. I can submit for clarification on the feedback page, but I have to defer to what their text. That would imply either the site needs to e update, or there is an issue with the tool. I can't offer you more information than what's on the tool's page, unfortunately.

The M630 was the direct predecessor of the M640.

I do not have the EIPT downloaded, but where it shows:

"Blades/Sleds: C6525, MX840c, MX740c, MX5016s, FC640, M640, C6420, FC830, FC430, FD332"

We can see that there are 13th and 14th generation servers in the tool. This would indicate to me that the M630 isn't supported. That having been said, the M640 would be very similar. I would expect that you would get a similar result with that model as what you would see with the M630.

Absolutely! I'm more than happy to do what we can. It's simply that this forum is more meant for supporting our hardware offerings, or software management tools, like the OpenManage product family. The EIPT is outside our scope and I didn't want to misrepresent that to you.

What I see: M640 is the only blade supported by both the online and EOL versions. Correct?

I don't expect to hear anything back. I submitted feedback, but I haven't heard anything back. Feedback has it's own process to go through and this has been only a few days. Some of the other tools we provide support for operate on a quarterly update cycle. I don't know if the EIPT team also operates on this same cycle, but if they do, I wouldn't expect anything until the following quarter at soonest.
