MX7000 Hardware Logs on Management Module

If there is another thread about this I couldn't find it. The company I work for acquired a Dell PowerEdge MX7000. When connected to the Web UI on the management module, there is a tab for hardware logs. The question, is it possible to clear these out as the dates seem to date back pretty far. Any assistance in performing this task would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

The only options on the Hardware Log page are:

*Click Advanced Filter to filter the logs based on severity, message ID, start date, end date, or category.

*Click Export > Export Current Page to export all the displayed logs.

*Select a specific log and click Export.

It can be done with a MX7000 Reset to Default but there is much more that gets reset.

Thanks for the article, I've tried the racadm racresetcfg command many times so far and the logs still persist as the article also mentioned. I don't have any experience using Redfish API but it appears that the above command should work as well. I can't think of what else could be holding them back.  Thanks again.

@DELL-Charles R  This reset link you posted for the reset guide has something to do with a redfish api reset or something. Not sure what that is or how to do that. https://dell.to/3Pr5OlU Does Dell have any documentation on how to do it. The guide just just says to enter it with out instruction on where or how.

Hello,

You should be able to SSH to the CMC and run the command line:

>racadm racresetcfg

@DELL-Charles R I figured out redfish. The link you posted previously had ambiguous instructions but I was able to figure it out. I'll post some clearer steps here soon in case someone else runs into this issue. Thank for your help.
