Nic Teaming w/ Brodcom BCM1756C not working

We have a PowerEdge T410 running server 2008. I wanted to setup Nic Teaming with the Brodocm Advanced Management Suite. I have tried to do this using application and driver downloads from both Brodcom and Dell. All of the software/drivers I have received from Dell fail to install. The updated driver I found through Brodcom also failed to install. The management Suite I got from Brodcom did successfuly install. I decided to see it would work with just that. When I open the Management Suite I got from Brodcom and right click on an unassigned adapter nothing happens. I am pretty green when it comes to this kind of setup and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Naviris,

Due to the multiple links you have received that were incorrect let me confirm some information with you. First off, what is the specific version and build of Windows Server 2008 are you using? Also, what is the BIOS, IDrac, and current Nic driver version installed on the server? Let me know these things so we can get the correct tools and information to you to get the issue resolved.

Let me know what you see.

Thanks.

Bios version: Dell Inc. 1.8.2, 8/19/2011

Network Driver version: 6.2.9.0

Windows Server Version: Vanilla Server 2008 (NT Version 6.0.6002)

I could not find any evidence that iDrac was on this server. It could be that I missed it. How would one tell for certain? Thanks for the help.

Download and extract the files from this package - http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=R306483&fileId=2731119252&osCode=WLHS1&productCode=poweredge-t410&languageCode=EN&categoryId=NI

Once extracted then locate the Management tools folder and run the Setup.exe located within. That will install Broadcom Advanced Control Suite. BACS can load the proper driver itself.

Then locate the Teaming tab and you can configure the teaming.

It would seem I made another error for which I apologize. Our Windows server is 64bit, but the driver package is 32bit. Will the 32bit work or do I specifically need a 64bit?

I installed the drivers and the BACS 3. Everything installed properly it seems. However there are no teaming options. In the actual Options the Teaming Mode settings are disabled. I can't a concrete fix online so far. Any advice?

Navaris,

Likely the issue is due to the teaming element not being included in the install. When performing the install you will need to ensure that the BASP driver is included as well, that is the element needed. Also I located the most current of the update packages if you would like to install using this one instead.

Let me know if you have issues finding the BASP driver location during install.

Do I download the Network_Driver_7FJCW_WN_18.4.2_17.10.4.7.EXE, the Bcom_LAN_17.10.4.7_Windows_64_18.4.0.19.exe, or both?

Bcom_LAN_17.10.4.7_Windows_64_18.4.0.19.exe is the one you will need. The other is the OS update package version

Unfortunately that installer is failing in the same manner as the original one I tried. It goes through much of the install and then suddenly says rolling back. The end screen says the installation was interrupted.
