Old Dell DL4300 Server
We have an Old Dell DL4300 server.
- One PSU would go amber when it was plugged in, we replaced both PSUs.
- The PERC card was reporting a bad battery, we replaced the PERC battery.
- We never used the above SD card for anything, I noticed there is a SD port in the back, empty
We wanted to know if we're cool to stick a blank SD card in the rear just to stop this error from happening. I don't know what the 8GB SD card is fo.

The 8GB is the vFlash which is part of the iDRAC. The host use a portion of that iDRAC for storing old Firmware releases when performing upgrades and on older generations you can store the servers config on with an scheduled task. With the rest of the 8GB you can create partitions and place bootable ISO on like LinuxRescue, ESXi Installer and so on.
IIRC the IDSDM can be distable in the Server Setup. We have tons of these because for over a decade we choose this kind of setup for our ESXi Hosts.... until vSphere 7.0.2 comes.

Sounds good. So to get rid of this error, sticking in a blank 8gb sd card is a good idea?

No.. try to disable the IDSDM. For me it looks like that it is enable and someone remove the 2 SDs.
FYI: Depends on which Gen your server is the complete Module holds 2 or 3 card. 1x vFlash and 2xSD (for ESXi). The 3 card combo comes later.
