OpenSSH Version Upgrade Request on Dell N3048P Switch
Hello,
I am using a Dell N3048P series switch with firmware version 6.5.2.35, and the current OpenSSH version is 7.5p1.
I would like to upgrade the OpenSSH version. Could you please assist me with this?

Okandemir,
There isn't a stand alone way to update OpenSSH, as OpenSSH is bundled with the switch firmware image so it cannot be updated independently. The only way to upgrade OpenSSH is to upgrade the entire switch firmware to a version that includes a newer OpenSSH build. Now while your switch is about 13 versions behind on firmware, I am not certain if the OpenSSH has been updated, as there isn't a mention of it I am seeing.
So what I would suggest is to update the switch to current and see if the OpenSSH version still does not meet your security policy needs, and if so then you may need to think about replacing the switch with an OS10 platform. The reason I say that is that DNOS 6.x is nearing end-of-life so you may want to consider migrating to OS10-based switches for modern security compliance.
Let me know if this helps.

Hello Chris H.,
I have upgraded to the latest firmware I could find on the internet — version 6.5.4.23, but the OpenSSH version is still at 7.5.
Is there a more recent firmware available for the Dell N3048P?

That looks to be the latest and most current version, and I am not sure if there is anything else that will be released or when that may be,
