PE R810 Memory Configuration Not Optimal
A client of mine has several PE R810 servers with 2 CPU's and 2 blanks (I don't think these were purchased with the FlexMem Bridges). Each server has 8x 32GB DIMMs, but the BIOS is giving an error about Memory Configuration Not Optimal. One of the servers has this configuration:
32 GB: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2, D1, D2
Without the FlexMem bridges installed, I would think that the issue with this server is that DIMMs are installed in C and D and shouldn't be.
However, the other servers use this configuration:
32 GB: A1, A2, A3, A4, B1, B2, B3, B4
I've gone through the manual, but I don't see an example of a memory config for a server that only consists of 2 CPU's and 8 identical DIMMs, so that's why I'm thinking that this client simply purchased the wrong amount of DIMMs or perhaps should have purchased the FlexMem Bridges. All servers report 256 GB of installed RAM, but all of them force an F1 during boot to get past the Memory Config error. With only having 8 DIMMs, are they just going to have to live with hitting F1? Are either of those RAM configs worse than the other? They both are "non-optimal", but the first one isn't letting me configure any redundancy like Spare or DDDC but in a non-optimal state I don't think I want to mess with that anyways.
Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks Robert. How do I confirm that the FlexMem Bridges are installed? I checked the system original configuration and I did not see FlexMem Bridges as a line item. I just see:
317-3293: No 3rd/4th Processor
and
330-7637: PE R810 Heatsink Blanks for 2 Processors
Based on that I'm guessing the FlexMems were not ordered initially. Not sure if they were installed post-market. Data Center is a ways away, do I need to go pop open the chassis to verify? Or does the fact that RAM is recognized in C/D channels confirm the presence of the bridges?
And yes, all servers are showing the same errors. Whether it's A1/A2/A3/A4/B1/B2/B3/B4 or A1/A2/B1/B2/C1/C2/D1/D2, same error. But all 256GB is seen on all nodes.

Hi Team,
Does this issue resolved? If yes then please let me know what configuration you are using.
Does R810 supports 16 GB DIMM's with 12800R ?
Regards,
Rahul

I'm getting the same error "Memory Configuration Not Optimal" and requires to press F1 to continue. And I'm no longer able to reboot remotely. Can you please help?
Here are my memory configuration on my R810 server:

Hello,
What is the processor configuration of the host? In order to check the configuration, we'd need to know the number of processors and FlexMem bridges, because memory population is dictated by that. Also, what BIOS revision is the server running?
