Power Edge 1750 Amber Blinking

The amber light is blinking.  I run the Diagnostic Tools and Dell open managed live cd but there's no error found.  Any idea?

What OS? Check OMSA to see the source of the error in the Hardware Log.

DonPulube,

Check if the top cover is well closed.
Then check the fans, temperature or PSU.
Then if all of the above seems ok, it's probably a HDD error

Robert,

The system status indicator is blinking amber.  I did not reseat the HD because there is no error or alarm in the HD as well as the VD in the controller BIOS.  It doesn't give us any error information when i run the Dell open managed CD.  It just shows that all the systems hardware are all OK.

If there are no entries in the System Event Log (Hardware portion), then clear the logs and it should disappear. However, anything that triggers the amber light should display in the Hardware log, so if it is not, then I would suggest you update all the system firmware (BIOS, ESM/BMC, etc.).
