Power Edge 2400 BIOS Update

Question

Tonight I updated our Power Edge 2400 server with BIOS A08 (Because it is running Windows 2000 not 2003).

The update took and it POST's, but It won't ever get to Win2k. It seems to freeze after the onboard SCSI BIOS. Occationally the screen flickers and the HD light comes on, but after 2 hours it still isn't up. It always took around 30 min to boot but this is wierd.

Has anyone else had this happen? Should I go to A09? Any info on similar problems would help.

Actually, I found out later that day that a BIOS clearing is required.  That fixed my problem.  You have to look for the jumper that is labeled CLR or something like that.  It is near the front of the box.  Set a jumper on those two pins, then turn the machine on until it says that the CLEAR BIOS jumper is set.  Then power down and remove the jumper and boot up.  It worked fine for two machines after that one.

Do you think this would work with 2300s? Because I'm having the same exact problem. I will try it at home tonight. My instincts tell me it will work.
