PowerConnect 6248P Serial connection not working
Hi,
We have a question with a Dell switch, model PowerConnect 6248P. We have a lot of this devices in our office. Yesterday one of this fails and it is not working well, it is unaccessible via network. So we tried to connect using the console cable, but we were not able to connect using the console cable (using Putty in Windows 7 and 10). We tried with another switches that are working well, and we are not able to connect using the console cable, so we don’t know what we have to do to use the console cable. We have to activate an option or we are doing something wrong?
We use this cables to connect, one is an USB adaptor and the other is the RJ45 to console:

Hi,
Did this console cable work on other switches of the same type? https://dell.to/2X58Ilo

Hi Josh,
We tried in another PowerConnect 6248P and doesn't connect.
On another switch, not PowerConnect, works properly using USB adapter.

It most likely has a different pinout.

How can I know if it is correct the pinout? Or what serial I need to connect to my PC?

The article I linked previously has the pinouts.
