PowerEdge 650 Fan Noise

I just received a PowerEdge 650 with, you guessed it, incrediby noisy fans. We were hoping to add 4 or 5 more of these (or better) units but the noise with only one is completely unacceptable. I've got a ShopVac quieter than this thing. We've got an HP that is as loud during the POST but quiets down after booting.

Before we return it, I just want to make sure there's no bios/firmware upgrade addressing this issue. It's seems like a great unit except of the noise. There's no way we can handle 4 or 5 of them.
