Hi

I've had a look at the manual and the error code reports as "BMC critical condition event in power off mode (S0/S1)" which doesn't really help. I've tried to update the firmware but as I get no video output I am unable to confirm if the server is booting from the drive.

try to put the system in a minimum to post configuration.

- System Board

- CPU

- Heatsink

- 1 DIMM Memory

- Power Supply

try to see if in this configuration you have video.

I have tried this, exactly the same outcome. Although with only 1 CPU installed the fans seem to have some control as the no longer run at full speed all the time. It still gives the same error code lights. When the server is initially powered on there is a solid amber light and a blue light that stays on for 3-5 seconds, then the amber light begins to flash and the blue light goes out.

The components Marco listed are the minimum components for successful POST. 

If you do not get post then it is one of those components.

Be sure to remove anything not on the list: hard drives, backplane, NIC cables, USB devices, add in cards… anything not on the list.

You can leave video connected to check if you get video.

Have you tried a different monitor?

If the issue persist, then the problem is one of those minimum to post components.

I have set the board up with a confirmed working CPU X5670, a single 4gb PC3-10600R, disconnected the backplane SATA cables and power cable and I still get the same result. Those same components in a PowerEdge R710 work as expected. I'm unsure of how to proceed, I think I may have the incorrect memory but I am pretty sure it is correct. Is this a dead board?

Here you can see memory information, it seems that your bank is supported.

If memory is correct then yes i think the issue comes from motherboard.
