PowerEdge R420 KO
Hello
This server which serial number is : { { {Svc Tag removed by moderator}}} has several issues :
- The server starts but it stuck at the fan test phase (loud fans on full speed)
- The small display on the server is blue but no information on it
- DRAC is not reachable
- No monitor/screen output
- The HDD leds are blinking green then turns to fully green
- No keyboard response (Num Lock led is not blinking even the Num Lock has been pressed)
Could anyone help me, tell me if it is reparable or if it is better to command a new one, as this one is out of garantie ?

I would start with taking the R420 to its minimum hardware to post, which is removing everything from the server but the following
•System Board
•CPU1 with heat sink
•Single DIMM in A1
•Control Panel with cable (to power system on)
•Expansion Riser
• PSU (and for redundant PSU also the PDB/PIB)
You may also want to verify that those devices are seated correctly as well.
If it powers up under that configuration then individually add the removed devices back to see which causes the issue to reappear.
