I only see the Nvidia Tesla M4 and the Intel Phi 3120p as supported on the R630. That being said it doesn't mean that no other GPU would work in the server, but we can't attest to how, or if, it would function. So you would have to just try the GPUs to see if they work, based on trial and error.
Thanks for the fast reply. My real question is (I will try different GPUs, all low profile and low TDP, passive):
Is there any technical limitation for using an R630 with a fullHD ready (screen output!) dedicated GPU? So if the temperature and other conditions are met, I should be able to use it right? Dell did not limit anything using a GPU, its just they are not supported, right?
Sorry to necropost but could we have more precise guidelines on what is considered at least physically supported on the r630 as far as GPU's goes for example is a tesla p4 supposed to fit in the server? if it does and knowing compatible cpu's support pcie Gen3 and that it does not require additional pcie power pins what could stop it from working ?

Hi,
as long power, thermal, and slot is valid it should work.
We did not have a list with limitations to special cards.
We only did not provide any assistance for this.

Let me know if this helps.

I had installed a Tesla P4 and it runs fine so long as its passive cooling intake is clearly exposed to the interior ventilation throughway.
