PowerEdge T310 memory upgrade problems

I need to upgrade my T310 witch X3430 to 32GB of RAM, As I read it would be DDR3 8x RDIMM.

Does anyone knows what the DELL partnumber for this module is?

I need to upgrade my T310 to 16gbs in order to fully utilize Dentrix patient management system for a dental office. I am not a techie so I just an honest opinion. I was told that it can't and max is 8gbs which means I have to buy a T330 and spend almost $4K for server with the software. Is it true that it can't be upgraded? If  it can be upgrade, what would be part numbers of rams that I can purchased to do this? Would really appreciate your help on this.

I have DDR3L RDIMMS, 8GB, 1333MHz. [Samsung 1x 8GB DDR3-1333 RDIMM PC3L-10600R Dual Rank x4 Module]

but the system locks up when I install. I've checked the manual and all seems good, no mixing, slots 1-4 etc.

Am I missing something obvious here? My server was purchased in 2010, may it just didn't support DDR 8gb THEN?

What model of memory are you using? Is it an Enterprise module? Can you please post some pictures of both sides of the module?

The PowerEdge T310 supports 8GB models, but you need to use enterprise memory modules.

I don't remember anything in the manual about 'Enterprise Memory Modules'. I'm not saying it's not there, I just didn't see it?

But of course! There are several kind of memories oriented to different hardware configurations. Like gaming memories, enterprise memories, consumer memories. Not all products are intended for all systems and market segments. And some vendors do not manufacture memories for Enterprise systems.

 

Regarding this Samsung module M393B1k70CH0-YH9. It is indeed an Enterprise Memory module. However, I think I found the problem. This module is 8GB 1333 MHz Dual rank, eight banks, Low Voltage, registered.

 

However, according to the server information. It only supports 8GB 1066 MHz Quad Rank registered.

Registered, DDR3 1333 1GB DIMM, Single Rank (post-RTS)
Registered, DDR3 1066 2GB DIMM, Dual Rank
Registered, DDR3 1333 2GB DIMM, Dual Rank

Registered, DDR3 1066 8GB DIMM, Quad Rank

Please, note the first table is for unregistered and the second for registered memory modules.
