Poweredge that supports E5-2648Lv2

I have an HP DL360P G8, it apparently doesn't support these, but does support the E5-2650Lv2.

Is there a Poweredge that does? There is little to no information on this cpu...

Hello,

It looks like the R720 and the R620 support the processor. Please let e know if you need any further information.

Can you provide a link that states this? Everyone I have seen does not list the 2648Lv2, but does list the 2650Lv2, same as the HP docs say for their servers...

Hello,

As a technical team, there is no document that I can access specifically for the E5-2648Lv2 processor to be used on these servers. However, when I check it as a processor family, I can see R620 and R720 on servers that can use the E5-2600 v2 product family.

R620 https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/poweredge-r620/r620systemownersmanual/technical-specifications?guid=guid-f2b39fd5-53b2-4104-b55f-24c2c63ae4f6&lang=en-us

R720 page 20 https://dell.to/3hj4yyO

Indirectly, when I look at the processors supported by some operating systems, I see that 26xx v2 family is supported like these servers;

VMware vSphere 6.5 https://dell.to/37L9ucu -45cf-a857-3e59b4796843

Red hat PE Rack page 12 https://dell.to/2Jie8W0

On the technical side, I cannot see servers using this E5-2648Lv2 processor in the spare parts section that I can access. I recommend contacting your sales representative for a compatibility check before making a purchase.

I hope this information can be helpful.

I need this to work...I do not want to purchase a R620 or R720 and then it not work. You guys are telling me nobody has tested this CPU? I find that very hard to believe...

Hi I'm afraid
E5-2648Lv2 is not one of the Dell's support processor.
