Putting desktop GPU in PowerEdge R815

So I ended up with an old R815 poweredge with 4 X AMD  6276 2.30GHZ CPUs, 128gb RAM, and a couple hard drives. My end game goal was to get VMware running on it with my R9 270x GPU to give it 3d support and let it run games in a VMware Workstation. Has anyone had any luck with a GPU in one of these or am I out of luck? I've tried Windows 2008 Server R2 and gotten the video card to pop up in device manager however I have not been able to get an output from it or been able to run a 3d game. Anyone have an ideas on how I can make this happen?

See my comments here :emotion-1:

I later looked at the R815 Technical guide book and your PE service does indeed have raisers with x16 slots, and as expected they are limited to either 25W or 15W depending on which slot is used with a maximum of 2x25W + 4x15W in total for all PCIe slots combined.

And from the R815 Owners Manual, it's stated you have Embedded Video Controller setting within the Inetgrated Devices Screen of your BIOS.

So, you should be good to go with a low power card as your 1st attempt... Then try running :emotion-1:
