It is a dependency check within OpenManage. I would suggest uninstalling OMSA and installing the latest version. If that does not resolve the issue then you can disable the check by browsing to the OMSA installation directory and locating a file named: stsvc.ini. Open that file in an editor like notepad and change the line DepCheck=on to DepCheck=off and save the file. Be sure to stop the data manager service associated with OMSA before editing the file. Start it back up after saving the file.
If Daniel's response does not resolve, please try shutting down system gracefully, then remove power for 1 minute, reconnect power (the system should not auto power on at this point), wait until the LCD on the system responds to button press, THEN power on the system and reflash the bios. Please let us know how this issue goes for you.
Please send me a private message with your service tag and a phone number where you can be contacted. I would like to arrange for tech support to contact you about this.
I have seen a few of these, dont know the solution works 100% of the time, but if you are willing, lets try two things.
1. upon bootup, press F10 to go into the System Services screen. Once you are in there, scroll down to Hardware Configuration, hit enter on that. on the right side of the screen, one of your choices should be Delete configuration and reset defaults. READ the warning, if you are OK with it, check the box and then click Finish. Then try your update again. If it fails, try step 2.
login to your idrac's web page, then in the left tree, select Idrac settings, then in the right side, select the Update tab (in black). browse to where the file is that you downloaded, then click the upload button. Assuming it uploads, then click the next button. it will start the repair process. If this fails, repeat a couple of times. Please let me know which process resolved the issue for you (if it does).
3. please try shutting down system gracefully, then remove power for 1 minute, reconnect power (the system should not auto power on at this point), wait until the LCD on the system responds to button press, THEN power on the system and reflash the bios.

I have the same problem on some R710s. I've installed Open Manage 7.2.0. R710_BIOS_VCNMH_WN32_6.3.0.exe still fails with the doDEPcheck failed .

First I normally try "racadm racreset". If that doesn't work, flea power drain the system. If that doesn't work, reseat the idrac.
Flea power drains fix most idrac related issues in 11th gen(idrac6). "racadm racreset" normally fixes idrac related issues in 12th gen (idrac7).
It is shameful solution to drain a server's power to update it or make it operational.

And if idrac reseat doesn't work, replace the idrac.
