R820 Power Supply Configuration Error
Hi guys
I'm having trouble with two redundants PSUs on a R820 server.
When both PSUs are connected, a green light is blinking on PSU2. When a single PSU is connected (regardless of slot), the green light does not flash and no alarm on the IDRAC is detected.
Accessing IDRAC the psu alarms configuration error. Also tried to access the lifecycle controller but found no firmware update for any of the PSUs. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on?

Hi,
I don't think it's possible for any settings for the server to accept mixed input voltages. Page 16: https://dell.to/3wTWVpl under second caution clause.

Hi,
If looking at the LED blinking indicator, that's showing the PSU is having a mismatch. Based on the screenshot, it seems the firmware has a small firmware difference, I'm unsure if it could affect the issue. Hence, try this. Update iDRAC/LCC first, then BIOS. Once it's done, based on the picture, you're using YT39Y PSU. I found firmware update for the PSU: https://dell.to/3xGaZTF.
Was these 2 PSU working fine before? What was the changes in between?

Hi!
I've found the problem
In our scenario we have two UPSs, one delivering 220v and the other 110v. Each of the UPS supplies power to one of the PSUs.
When we turn on both PSUs at the same voltage (same UPS) the alarm disappears, however when we turn each PSU on at different voltage the alarm returns. We have other servers that connected at different voltages and do not give an error, is it any special specification for this model not to work?

Hello jhuanmarco,
That is great you have discovered the problem. It appears to be working as designed.
When matching PSU wattages are plugged into mixed line voltage (one PSU in 208V and other in 120V), the low line PSU triggers an error.
