SCSI/PERC BIOS Config assistance

Good day,
 
A coworker accidently hooked up a tape library to a SCSI port on one of our servers and the drives went nuts.  This has happened in the past and I remember going into the PERC/CERC BIOS Config utility and putting all the drives back online and then fixing the problem but I'm not at the location of my coworker and I can't remember what I had to do after I brought all the drives back online.  I'm not sure if I had to do something in the rebuild menu or something else.  I know all the data, OS, etc... is still intact.  I just need to remember how to get the server to read and understand the drives again.

What you will need to do is reboot the system and during POST you will see where it asks you about pressing CONTROL + M. Press CONTROL + M. After entering the utility, you will need to go to Objects then Physical Drive. It will then scan and show your hard drives. You will want to highlight one drive at a time and press F2 on them to make sure the capacity is recognized and that there are no Media errors at the bottom of the drive information box. If there are no media errors, starting with drive 0, press enter and choose Force Online. You will want to force online all drives but the last one. After forcing all drives but one online, exit the utility and reboot your computer. check to see if it reboots to your operating system. If it reboots to the OS, reboot and go to CONTROL + M again and go to Objects, Physical Drive. Press enter and select rebuild on the last drive that you did not force online. Let it rebuild in the controller to 100%. After its done exit the utility and reboot to the OS.
 
If the above steps do not work you will probably want to try to retag the array. To retag the array, clear the configuration from Configure, Clear configuration. Then choose View/Add configuration. Remake the array to the exact specifications as it was before and this should bring you back online.

I am experiencing similar situation/issue.
However, my 6650 won't go past the PERC3 Bios...
I've attempted to enter into the config, but pressing Control + M or Control + H gets me no where.
Any clues or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

bgoodeno, you may want to power down the server, pull all drives out (an inch so you don't lose track of which drive goes/went where), and power up the server. Then see if you can enter the bios. This won't 'fix' it, but will help determine if it's a drive (drive config) or PERC/motherboard/bios issue.

Thank you very much for the reply. I did try that. I also tried to boot with the SCSI cable disconnected and then of course the RAID card pulled out completely....which took that bios out of the loop.
All this did help diagnose that it was the card that had the problem.
I replaced the card (a PERC/3) with a PERC/4DC I had on hand and it all came back.
 
I did have to address some driver issues when I booted up, but this did the trick.
Dell shipped me a new PERC/3 and I will be swapping back out at some point so I can use the PERC/4 with my Powervault 220s.
