Setting up a Dell PowerEdge R900
How do install Windows server 2008 R2 Datacenter to my Dell PowerEdge R900. If someone could give me step by step help that would be amazing as im new to servers. Ive just bought this thing and done nothing with it yet. So i need help from step one

If you have installed a client version of Windows 7 on a laptop or desktop, it is almost exactly the same.
You have two options:
1) Boot to SMTD (download from support.dell.com), choose Install OS, then insert OS DVD when prompted. This will take care of configuring RAID and installing any drivers on the system as you go.
or
2) Boot directly to the OS media to install. You will have to manually configure RAID prior to the install, then install drivers after the installation is complete.
