SEV-SNP: failed to INIT rc -5, error 0x3
Hi everyone,
When I run sudo dmesg | grep -i sev I get an error message for ccp and SEV-SNP. The error is:
[ 0.492094] SEV-SNP: RMP table physical address [0x000000004de00000 - 0x00000000566fffff]

OS: Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
The kernel version: 6.5.0-rc2-snp-host-ad9c0bf475ec
Processor: AMD EPYC 7443P 24-Core Processor
I have updated to the latest SEV firmware version and BIOS version for my server DELL PowerEdge R7515, as you can see from the log but I still get the cpp error.
My BIOS settings are:
Logical Processor - Disable
Virtualization Technology - Enable
Kernel DMA Protection - Disable
Secure Memory Encryption - Enable
Minimum SEV non-ES ASID - 100
Secure Nested Paging - Enable
Secure Nested Paging - Enable
Transparent Secure Memory Encryption - Disable
Does anyone know how to fix this error?
Sorry if this question has been asked before, but I have not found an answer.
All the best,
Danko
