inlet temp sensor used to monitor the temperature on front of the server. Can you check whether control panel is connected properly to the motherboard? Can you also update iDRAC and BIOS to latest FW and check the behavior?

Hi @CyberDaeng,
What Shine means is to check the connection from the control panel to the mainboard is connected properly. Also, do check if the connector do not have any bent pins. For this topic's server model, it is R340, please refer to connect# 20 and #25: https://dell.to/3X5Qug4;

Hi, if your FWs up to date, please try to iDRAC reset and power drain. (to do power drain while you have downtime)
iDRAC reset https://dell.to/3iz7vAf
1. Power the server down.
2. Disconnect the server from all power cables, Network cables.
3. Hold down the power button continuously for at least 10 seconds.
4. Insert power cabless and network cables back to the system.
5. Wait about 2 minutes before powering on the server to give the iDRAC time to initialize.
6. Power the system on.

Hi Joey,
Thanks for the reply.
I basically facing the same issue. Recently have just update all firmware with Server update utility ISO. But it seems doesnt help at all.

I have reset IDRAC and perform power drain as you explain above, but still got this problem.
Any other advice?

Then please follow up on Joey's mentioned reconnecting it. Because I would suspect it could be a hardware problem.

Hi, cable is checked. And no problem. All pin is fine and connected properly.
If there is hardware issue, what is the hardware need to be replace?

It's mostly fixed after iDRAC update or power drain. Could you try Reboot iDRAC from iDRAC UI > Maintenance > Diagnostics > Reboot iDRAC
if cabling is okay then I would check the socket on the motherboard. If I found the bent pins, need to be replace motherboard.
