Tool to see what Server Types specific RAM fits into?
Community,
I have some 4Rx4 PC3 8500R 7-10-F0 240 pin RAM. Is there a tool anywhere I can type this info into and results would display what PowerEdge Servers it could be installed in?
Or, if anyone just happens to know off hand.
Thanks!

Most 10G/11G servers (R610, R710, etc.) will take it ... just have to check the specs for the server in question.

Flash is not correct on this, this memory is DDR3 and will not work on DELL 10G Servers as they take DDR2 memory. Flash meant to say 11/12G should take this memory, assuming you have a processor that supports RDIMMS.

Indeed, I would have meant 11G or later ... 10G servers were a pretty insignificant step for Dell ... in my mind I went from the 2950 (did not support DDR3) to its direct replacement, the R710 (which did support DDR3), although the 2950 did not have a 10G replacement or equivalent.
