It is a well-known problem. Solution: Wait for MS to fix it (or skip the update).

Found your thread because of the same problem. The fix is the OOB patch KB5010794.

I installed KB5010794 and the VM runs properly. Should KB5009624 be installed also or does KB5010794 include all the security fixes contained in KB5009624. The Microsoft website wasn't clear about the proper procedure.
