When does the xe9780 server firmware stabilize?
I have been building an xe9780 HGX B300 since March.
But the firmware on that server is so unstable.
iDRAC is not getting all the information right.
When on earth will this server be stabilized?

Hello,
It looks like the XE9780 + HGX B300 platform is still going through active firmware development. Dell’s latest iDRAC10 update (v1.30.xx) was just published on March 17, 2026,
On the NVIDIA side, the DGX B300 components are also receiving ongoing updates, and NVIDIA’s February 2026 firmware guide confirms there are still known issues during updates.
So unfortunately, there’s no official timeline for when the XE9780 will be “stable.” Both Dell and NVIDIA are still releasing updates across early 2026. Best results right now come from updating iDRAC via Dell’s HTTPS catalog and aligning NVIDIA firmware using
nvfwupd, but the platform is clearly still in its stabilization phase.JeongCheol

@DELL-Erman O
After updating the XE9780 server BIOS to the latest version 1.1.4, the server crashed during BIOS driver loading or firmware interface initialization. And I tried BIOS rollback, but after about 8 hours the server rolled back. Do I need further updates? Or should I proceed with Virtual AC Power Cycle after BIOS update?

@DELL-Erman O Okay. I'll talk to the customer again to update the firmware and also proceed with the Virtual AC Power Cycle. I'll work on the firmware again and let you know the results.
