Hi all,

i have one question for you: I have 1 poweredge R720 with sevens disks. Four are in RAID 5 (OS installation) while three disks are not in RAID. I want to add this 3 disks to the raid 5 without data loss. This operation is possible?

Yes. This can be done live using OMSA (Storage, Virtual Disks, Reconfigure) or offline in the CTRL-R BIOS utility for the PERC.

Sounds like your firmware is out of date. I'd recommend updating it as soon as possible (do the iDRAC/LCC first, then BIOS, then PERC drivers, then PERC firmware).

What OS are you using?

I have not updating the firmware of the raid controller.the OS is red hat 6.2 .

I tried to install OmSA but i recieved error on multiple dependencies.

Now i'm adding the disks via dell live  image.

It's OK no?
