Adding Hard Disk to PowerEdge R310
Dear All,
I have a Dell PowerEdge R310. But now its Hard disk space is very low. I found that one of that hard disk bay is empty. My question is that, can i add one more hard disk to get the enough space to the server. if possible which model, size and capacity I need to buy. Please help anyone.
Thanking you in Advance.
Regards,

JomyTS,
If you have the H700 raid controller you can expand the array. You would insert the drive and then use Reconfigure in the OpenManage Server Admin's Virtual Disk drop down menu to expand. Now with expanding the array, you will need to configure the Unallocated space within the OS. Expanding the array doesn't expand the partitions configured within it. If you want to expand a partition then you would need to backup the data and delete any partition following the partition you wish to expand. Then after expanding you can recreate the partition you had to delete and then restore the data.
Let me know if this helps answer your question.

Which RAID controller are you using? What size/type hard drives are you using now? Which OS?
