ARO-1130C DRAM error on boot

I have and Adaptec ARO 1130C ( Card details ARO-1130xA-C).
When I install the card into my RAID Port III slot on my intel server board, I get an "unknown DRAM, or DRAM not attached" error message, which disables the SCSI. It was sold to me as a working card.  Is it a compatability problem, or is the RAM most likely faulty?
Any help would be appriciated.

DIMM Memory Module Compatibility List:

The following list of EDO DIMMs have been approved by Adaptec for use with the ARO-1130CA RAID Option Card.

DIMM Size  Manufacturer     Part Number                 DIMM Description
16 MB           Micron                  MT9LD272AG-6X           2M x 72 bits 3v 60ns
16 MB           PNY                      89000213                       2M x 72 bits 3v 60ns

If you are unable to locate one of the above DIMMs from your supplier, most other popular EDO 3.3v DIMMs should work provided they meet the below specification requirements:

  • 60 ns or faster
  • 168-PIN
  • 3.3v
  • EDO (Extended data out)
  • Unbuffered
  • Single Bank
  • Parity is Required
