BIOS Update Error

Hi,

I have a Dell PowerEdge R720 currently on Windows Server 2012 R2. The server required a BIOS Update to version 2.6.1 (it is still currently on 2.4.3). When I went to install the BIOS Update, and error occurred saying that the iDRAC controller had to be updated. I updated this to the latest version using the software from the Dell Support website. However, after doing this I tried re-installing the BIOS 2.6.1. An error message occurred saying: "BIOS Update is not supported using Dell RBU method". After many attempts to research the problem, including updating the RAID/PERC, the BIOS still won't update. A new message now appears since updating the RAID stating: "Partition Failure; could not find where the dynamic partition was mounted. Possible cause: USB Support is disabled".

Any advice or help on this would be gratefully appreciated- a simple BIOS update is turning into a headache..!

Cheers,
Sam
