BOSS S1 Controller disk cache disabled

we have a raid 1 setup using m.2 disks on the boss s1 controller in a poweredge t640 and the disk cache shows as "disabled". is there any way to enable this or is this option only available at the time of setting the array (meaning i'd have to backup, delete the array, reconfigure and recover)? it's a working array and ssd speeds are showing at 500 read and 300 write which is less than i hoped for from the m.2's so i suspect the disk cache policy may be slowing it down. thanks

it turns out there's no option to modify cache when creating an array with this controller. there is a disk cache setting in the system bios setup though - and that was disabled.

Hello,

Disk caching doesn't appear to be an option you can manually configure. I wish I had a helpful suggestion on how you might speed it up, instead of just a negative, though.

thanks, i think the options when you create an array the first time are default and off. somehow it appears as off now anyhow - will try to recreate the array...
